Review: The Stable

The Stable is a restaurant situated a stone’s throw away from Birmingham New Street specialising in pizza, pies and cider. This restaurant is one of 16 for these pizza connoisseurs, whose branches stretch across the south of the country including the likes of Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Winchester.  The pizzas are made with a sourdough base and locally sourced ingredients. An added twist is the Birmingham theme;  the Perry Barr-baa, the James Brindley and the Bourneville Bantam to name just a few.

If you’ve ever wondered what marinated lamb, smoked salmon or crabmeat would taste like as a pizza topping, this is the place to make those dreams come true. They also cater to those with dietary requirements including an entire menu dedicated solely to vegan options. On top of this, the restaurant features over 80 varieties of cider with the option to get a cider tasting board if, like me, you’re indecisive!

Considering the fact that you can dine here for the same price as all your high street pizza chains (Pizza Express, Zizzi, Prezzo), this one’s a no-brainer.

I was invited to The Stable by Yelp Brum (thank you!) so the pizzas and cider were complimentary but the views remain my own.
